Invited speaker

David Herrero Pérez is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Structures and Construction at the Technical University of Cartagena (Spain). He was a Visiting Professor at the University Carlos III of Madrid (Spain) and a Visiting Researcher at the Örebro University (Sweden) and the Instituto Superior Tecnico (Portugal). His research experience and interest include Optimization, Computational Mechanics, Mathematical Modeling, Uncertainty Quantification, and Artificial Intelligence, focusing on industrial applications and technology transfer projects related to such fields. He is particularly interested in High-Performance Computing techniques taking advance of modern computing infrastructures for addressing problems that cannot be dealt with using conventional computing techniques.
